Senior Construction Project Engineer| Pituffik Space Base Greenland

AECOM is seeking a Senior Construction Project Engineer to support the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers on-site at Pituffik Space Base in Greenland. Candidates will have more than 10 years of experience as construction project inspectors on large, complex, multi-million-dollar Department of Defense (DoD) projects, including dormitories, airfields, shoreline restoration, and similar infrastructure. Strong experience in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical construction disciplines is highly desirable. Key responsibilities include reviewing and interpreting plans and specifications to ensure completeness, accuracy, and constructability. The role will primarily involve field inspection and reporting. Candidates must be able to interact professionally with clients and contractors, demonstrating excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a polished presentation.This person will be responsible for but not limited to the following:Provide oversight of contractor compliance with contract requirements and standards in accordance with the USACE 3-Phase inspection program, including evaluation of inspection levels, testing procedures, and deficiency correction documentation.Complete and maintain comprehensive field records, including daily reports documenting work performed, field measurements, computations, and observations.Participate in technical review of submittals and development plans to ensure conformity to USACE standards and specifications.Document construction observations and issue discrepancy notices for non-compliant items.Attend and participate in construction progress meetings and contractor weekly project meetings.Perform infrastructure walkthroughs and develop punch lists as required.Provide construction photographs to document progress and problem areas.Ensure compliance with safety regulations, USACE requirements, and building codes during construction of utility equipment.Participate in tests, demonstrations, and field instructions with appropriate personnel.Resolve conflicts related to construction installation.Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required, and experience with RMS.
